Leslie has also been lucky enough to again be a part of the Gen Next show that will be shown at the Hair Expo next generation gala night, with hairdressing legend Sharon Blain. As the cooler month approach we are seeing colors becoming richer, blonder are becoming richer and your are seeing people move away from the cooler ash bonds to more of the golden, multitonal blondes so keep an eye out.

Our interview with Jen

Bond: what's your favorite part of hairdressing?
Jenni: My clients are the best part of hairdressing. After so many years it is like having your friends and family spend an hour with you every 5 to 6 weeks. Most of the clients that see me have been there through the good times and the bad times and vica versa. I am passionate about making my clients, I try to always make them feel special and heard, and I feel so humbled by their trust and belief in me.

B:what is your favorite moment?
J: After nearly 29years in my career there are so many great moments. The places I have been because if hairdressing, studying at Sassoons academy in London, the people I have met, the awards I have won, the gifted and talented people I have worked with. But I think my favorite moments are when I have made a difference to someone's life, this is what brings me true joy.

B: what are your goals and aspirations?
J: my goal is to have a salon full of passionate staff that love to work at Bond. This has been my goal from the first day I brought the business, and I truly believe I have met that goal with the amazing and gifted team at bond. These young and talented people help to inspire me everyday. Inspiration to me is all about shape, I love clothing jewelry, sculpture, art, furniture and especially chairs I love anything that is architectural. I also find music and poetry to be a huge inspiration.

B: why did you choose hairdressing?
J: The same question was asked by my science teacher in my final term at school, he did everything to try and convince me to study science, as I happen to be very good at it. My only answer to this question was "I have never wanted to do anything else". Even as a 5 year old I was setting my nana's hair. I loved and still love the creativity of sculting an ever changing medium it is a gift to work with hair.
