Knaves and Fables

This is for all you dapper gents. Knaves and Fables is a boutique jewellery label designed especially for men. From the creative mind of Danielle Day, the collection is inspired by Mycohrrizae Fungi (see Designs below).  These exquisite designs will jazz up any outfit. Knaves and Fables are about to release a new line, inspired by organic armour.  These peices are made from the same materials as the previous collection, however, this collection features stronger shapes. Knaves and Fables will also be a part of the Canberra Fashion Festival. Go to http://knaveandfables.com.au/knave-fables/ to see more.

Pole Championships by Sarah Little

Sunday the 18th of November Jen, Katie and I went to the Australian Capital Pole Championships. When we first arrived we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one of the contestants running through her rehearsal. The strength and grace that we saw was amazing.  Not one of us could imagine being able to execute what we had seen. We later found out that she was an amateur and that she had been pole dancing for only 2 years. The dressing room where we were working was filled with nervous energy. We created simple hairstyles consisting of braids and curls and messy buns. It was lovely talking to the contestants. Many of the girls and guys had travelled from all over Australia and overseas. We were lucky enough to meet Marion Crampe and Crystal Lai two of the three international acts show cased at the event. They have danced in other major events like the Asia pole championships. The contestants were all lovely and the afternoon was full of laughs. We would like to say a big thank you to Elizabeth at Aerial Pole Academy in Kingston for including us in this amazing event and for allowing us to watch the amazing show as well.
