Fundraiser a success

On the weekend Bond did hair and makeup for no less than 60 models for the Biggest Morning Tea event at the Hellenic club. The event was a great success with over 400 people in attendance. The fashion show saw some amazing looks from Ambia in Manuka and Spurling in Belconnen. The girls on the day looked stunning walking down the runway in their gowns. Special thanks to the hair and makeup teams that helped out we couldn't have done it without you.

Introducing our two new Bondettes

Bond would like to welcome two new editions to the team Mitch and Mandy. Both in the second year of their apprenticeships, these two young guns exude passion and determination and thus far have taken every opportunity given to them and they have ran with it. It's great to see such great young talent and we hope to see them around Bond for years to come.


Bond to rub shoulders with the best in the business

Over the June long weekend a few members from the Bond team will be travelling to Sydney for the amazing Hair Expo. But the highlight of the weekend would have to be a course presented by Sassoon's International Director Mark Hayes which one of our Bond team will be attending. Sassoon has a reputation for the most techniqually perfect approach to their work, we hope to pick up some amazing tips and tricks.

We're Back

After an amazing week in Phuket the Team@Bond are relaxed and rejuvenated ready for the second half of the year. Our time in Thailand saw lots of shopping, drinking and relaxing by the pool but we also did some team building. The team learnt about emotional intelligence and how to work better together as a team and to better understand ourselves and others, especially in relation to improving our communication and how to relate to clients. The week was filled with fun and great new experiences. We are now looking forward to what the rest of the year has to offer.

Bond Helps the Cancer Council

This weekend Bond is going to be a part of a biggest morning tea event being held at the Hellenic Club, Woden. The event will showcase a few local boutiques including Spurling and Ambius for a runway event for which Bond will be doing the hair. The event is a high tea held this Sunday and is catered for by the Hellenic Club.  If you would like to get involved tickets are $40.00 per person and can be booked through the Hellenic Club on (02) 62810647.

Fashfest

This past week the team at Bond Hair Religion have been very busy. We attended the amazing fashion extravaganza Fashfest where we we made an appearance backstage helping a range of local hairdressing talent on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. We were also fortunate enough to see some amazing fashion from some of Canberra's best designers. Each night saw a strong theme with hair and makeup.  Wednesday night was all about waves whilst Friday night saw many different styles of messy buns.  On the the final night on Saturday we saw everything go big - big hair and makeup. The event saw over 500 people per night coming to see the best of Canberra's talent on display. Bond Hair Religion was very pleased to be a part of this amazing event.

Our Night with Wella

On Monday the team at Bond were fortunate enough to host the amazing team from the Wella Colour Club. The Colour Club is a group of Wella's most talented colourists, who came to Canberra to showcase Wella's new innovation in colour including Illumina, Perfection and Colour Fresh (see previous post for more info). The night was held at Academy and saw over 40 hairdressers come along to view the latest and greatest in colour. The hosts Cayley Norman and Richi Grisillo from Toni and Guy in Sydney emparted some amazing new techinques and ways of colouring that we hope to try on some of our clients.
