Winter Trends and Our Interview With Shaun!

Spotlight On...

Bond Hair Religion has decided to give you a taste of what the team's thoughts, dreams and lives are like. Our first staff member under the microscope this week is our newly-appointed Salon Manager Shaun.
Shaun has been a senior stylist at Bond for a number of years and recently elevated to a managerial role - congratulations!

Who is Shaun?

Shaun began his apprenticeship at Bond - then known as Classics of Kingston - before leaving temporarily to pursue other career goals. He has long since returned to Bond and in that time has shown the highest quality in his work and in the salon. It was a natural progression for Shaun to continue his great work in the management of Bond Hair Religion!

We caught up with Shaun to pick his brain on his work, goals and experience in the industry...

Bond: Why hairdressing?
Shaun: For as long as I can remember I knew I wanted to be a hairdresser. I still love my job and could not think of anything else I'd rather be doing.

Bond: What are you most passionate about?
Shaun: Hairdressing has been my passion from the start; I love seeing the difference I can make to my clients and achieving the look that they want.

Bond: Tell us about some of your career goals.
Shaun: Becoming manager has fulfilled one of my major goals, it was an honour to be placed in this role. I aim to see Bond as successful in the future as it is now and hopefully to be a part of that!

Bond: What are your predictions for hair in the upcoming Winter season?
Shaun: This season always introduces the darker, richer, glossy colour that give us a lift in the cold Canberra Winter days!

Bond: Favourite hairdressing moment?
Shaun: I would have to say I've had many special moments. I get to make a difference to my clients every day so that in itself is very rewarding. It has been thirteen years in the making and I am very happy with what I have achieved with my clients and colleagues.

-"There are only 84,000 seconds in a day - get going!"

Trend Watch

Bond predicts Winter 2012 will see the return of deep, glossy colour. Our favourite colour company Wella have released a gorgeous colour range for the new season  - think regal purples, rich browns and glowing coppers.

For those with an eye on runway trends, pops of neon and sugar-sweet candy colours are making a huge impact. Those with fair hair are experimenting with shades of lilac and cotton candy while their darker counterparts are showing off electric blue and purple locks!

Last season's ombre look is still popular - so for those not ready for a complete neon colour change, channel celebrities Jordin Sparks and Lauren Conrad for a subtle hint of fun colour!
